Former President Edgar Lungu is hopeful of forming Government in the 2026 General Election.
Speaking during his first press briefing after rejoining active politics in Lusaka, Friday morning, Lungu said he would use any means possible from legal, civil and political to protect the Patriotic Front (PF) from what he described as being killed.
Lungu has vowed to defend and protect the PF from being allegedly killed by the state.
The Former Head of State said no one will be allowed to kill democracy which was hard earned in Zambia, adding that democratic power belongs to the people.
He said it is unfortunate that Democracy is being killed by the very people in Government who are supposed to protect it.
He further said he is extremely happy about the response he is receiving from other opposition political parties that are willing to work together.
Lungu was flanked in by several Members of Parliament and senior PF Leaders from his faction.
