Bishop Edgar Ng’ambi says Sixth President Edgar Chagwa Lungu was a man of peace who should be remembered by God for doing his best for the country.

In a statement of purpose during the memorial service of President Lungu at Praise Christian Center in Chainama, Lusaka, Bishop Ng’ambi sought harmony between government and the Lungu family.

He told mourners that Lungu resisted forces beyond Zambia and stood as one of the greatest people on earth.

Bishop Ng’ambi reminded the congregation that God never forgets His son, stressing that Christ cried “It is finished” on the cross and won a mighty victory.

He assured the Lungu family that they play from a winning side because God fights alongside them.

The clergyman urged the nation to embrace peace, insisting that enemies are not flesh but spiritual powers, and he warned against evil forces trying to control the country.

Bishop Ng’ambi called on Zambians to pray loudly and boldly, saying that God would deliver Zambia just as He delivered Israel in one day.

He prayed for the Lungu family, asking God to remember the former president’s service to the nation and to remove the cloud hovering over Zambia.

He declared that Zambia belongs to Jesus, that no weapon fashioned against the nation will prosper, and that the people must repossess the land in righteousness.

The memorial drew a wide range of leaders, including Citizens First President Harry Kalaba, PF Pamodzi Alliance National Chairperson Jean Kapata, Tonse Alliance President Brian Mundubile, United Liberal Party President Sakwiba Sikota, Zambia We Want Party founder Kapembwa Simbao, New Heritage Party President Chishala Kateka, National Democratic Congress President Saboi Imboela, Zambia Republican Party President Wright Musona, Zambia Must Prosper President Kelvin Bwalya Fube, National Congress Party President Peter Chanda, and Socialist Party representatives.

Apostles, bishops, prophets, MPs, and former ministers joined the gathering, standing together in prayer and reflection as Bishop Ng’ambi proclaimed that Zambia will overcome through God’s power.
