The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has reopened the Online Candidate Registration System (OCRS) to allow candidates and examination centres to complete pending registrations, payments and corrections.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, 7th April, 2026, ECZ announced that the reopening of the system took effect on Friday, 3rd April, 2026 and will close on Friday, 10th April, 2026.
The Council explained that the reopening is meant to accommodate candidates who may have been missed during the normal and extended registration period, which ran from 10th November 2025 to 20th March 2026.
ECZ stated that during this period, the OCRS will facilitate the registration of omitted candidates, payment of outstanding examination fees, as well as amendments of candidate details and subjects entered for.
The Council emphasized that payment of examination fees must be strictly done within the reopening window through the official ECZ Payment Gateway.
Meanwhile, ECZ has also clarified that it will no longer conduct manual verification or corrections of candidate details following the introduction of a new examination processing system.
The Council explained that the new system requires candidates to self-verify their entries, or verification to be done by parents, guardians and examination centres.
ECZ has since urged all stakeholders to take advantage of the window and ensure that all necessary registrations and amendments are completed before the deadline.
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring efficient administration and management of examinations in Zambia.
The statement was issued by Nicolas Nkhuwa, Public Relations Manager, Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ).
