The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has signed a three-year distribution agreement with Nolstalgia Solutions that will see the distribution of KoPa branded merchandise in North America.
And FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga has announced that the Association will be enrolling distributors in all the provincial centers around the country in an effort to bring the KoPa merchandise closer to the people.
The merchandise will include tracksuits, caps and replicas in the immediate term with the long-term goal aimed at making the KoPa brand one of the major sports brands on the international market and its penetration in North America is one of the first steps to realising the vision.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga said by entering the North American market through the partnership with Nostalgia, it was expected that KoPa will now be exposed to markets beyond Zambia and the African region.
“It is therefore exciting to be associated with a brand that has gone through several hurdles to become a renowned brand that it is today. Our vision for the brand is to grow beyond the game of football and come up with apparels for other sports disciplines,” Kamanga said.
“The partnership we are witnessing today is testimony that the KoPa brand has grown exponentially to levels where we are now competing with other major brands on the market. We are confident that with the distributor partnership, we will improve accessibility of the product to our customers.”
Nolstalgia Solutions Chief Executive Officer Anthony Chanka said the agreement was part of the company’s crucial step under the establishment of a subsidiary, Zambia Kuchalo Entertainment, to address the gaps in entertainment, sports, and arts.
“This platform will serve as the hub for all our e-commerce offerings, including FAZ gear and accessories. I encourage Zambians in North America to visit our marketplace at ZambiaKuchaloEntertainment.com to find all their favorite jerseys and to support our cherished Chipolopolo and Copper Queens teams,” Chanka said.
“Today, I stand here profoundly grateful for the professionalism and dedication exhibited by FAZ throughout this partnership. Their commitment to our shared vision has been truly remarkable, and I am confident that our collaboration will yield great success.”
