The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts has announced the appointment of renowned sports administrator Sombwa Musunsa as Director of National Sport Council of Zambia.

Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe in a statement issued to the media disclosed that the appointment of Musunsa is effective from 1 June 2024.

He added that the appointment has been made in accordance with Article 17 (1) of the Sports Council of Zambia Act Cap 144 of the Laws of Zambia.

Prior to his appointment Musunsa worked for the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 in Botswana as Programmes Manager.
