GOVERNMENT’S COMMITMENT TO GROWING THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR IN WESTERN PROVINCE.

The New Dawn Administration under the focused leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, is indeed very committed to growing the agriculture sector in Western Province especially when it comes to FISP distribution.
Moreso, in Western Province, 37,600 farmers are supported through FISP with emphasis on early and timely supply and distribution of farming inputs with a deadline for everything to be in depots by 31/10/2024.
There are two types of delivery- Electronic Voucher in all districts except for Mitete, Sikongo, Mulobezi, Mwandi, Sioma and Shangombo where Direct Input Supply (DIS) will be used.
Further, inorder to be food secure in the province, more agricultural land has been availed for plots at Mayukwayukwa, Kalumwange both in Kaoma and Dongwe in Lukulu.
This in conclusion is government’s commitment to growing the agriculture sector in Western Province, our assumption is that there will be normal rainfall this 2024/2025 farming season.
