A 51-year-old Watchman of Semahwa Estate in Choma District has been sentenced to 45 years imprisonment with hard labour by the Livingstone High Court sitting in Mazabuka for defiling his 6-year-old grandchild.

Byta FM Court Beat Journalist reports that this is in a matter where Charles Nankupaisha stood charged with defilement contrary to Section 138 (1) Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the matter are that on 2nd October, 2023, in Choma, the now convict had unlawful carnal of a girl under 16 years.

In delivering judgement, Judge Lombe Phiri sentenced the defendant to the aforementioned jail time.
