A 45-year-old woman has been left traumatised after she was allegedly raped by her 18 year old step son.
Muchinga Province Commanding Officer, Paul Achiume has confirmed the incident to NKANI, saying the incident happened yesterday at around 01hrs at Bulimbo village in Chief Nkula.
Achiume explains that the victim is believed to have gone to Chikasa village on October 8th at around 16:30hrs to collect money from people who bought beer from her on credit.
“The victim narrated that while at Chikasa village, she met her step son at a named bar where he was drinking beer. The victim then stopped by and joined her step son where he was drinking beer with his friends”, he says.

He adds that at around 01:00hours, the victim left the bar and went home to sleep alone since her husband was not there because he has two wives. Whilst she was sleeping in her bedroom, she heard someone entering the bedroom and she thought it was her husband aged 50 who was undressing her clothes and removing her underwear including inserting his penis into her vagina.
Achiume says she later realized that it was different from how she always felt when it was her husband.
She then decided to push him away and switched on the light, disgustingly only to find it was her step son who was having carnal knowledge of her. She then shouted for help and in the process, her biological son aged 20 went to her rescue.
Achiume said the victim’s 20 year old son managed to apprehend the suspect whom he took to Chinsali Police Station where he is currently detained.
