A 32 year old woman of Katandala Village in Masaiti district has been murdered by her husband in unknown circumstances.
The suspect identified as MAYBIN KABILO aged 42, is said to have killed his wife VERA MUSONGO around 11 hours on Wednesday September 18th, 2024.
It is believed that the accused physically abused his wife a day before her supposed death. Copperbelt Police Commissioner PEACEWELL MWEEMBA says a neighbor of the couple decided to visit the deceased on the fateful day.
It was then that the accused was found seated in the house, while his wife’s body was lying on the floor.
The neighbor then alerted community members and confined the accused and reported the matter to Kafulafuta police station.
Police have disclosed that the deceased was found with multiple bruises and a swollen face, adding that the body is in the Ndola Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem…
