FOOTBALL Association of Zambia-FAZ President, Andrew Kamanga, has condemned the act of throwing missiles on the pitch either in celebration or protest as observed in the against the Copper Queens and Black Queens of Ghana last Wednesday.
Kamanga notes in his Weekly Football Write-up that FAZ will be taking drastic steps going forward, including utilizing the Closed-Circuit Television-CCTV, surveillance available at the stadium to identify and punish erring fans.
He adds that the association will be looking at enhanced security screening for fans entering the stadium with a possible ban on alcoholic beverages.
Kamanga observers a lag in strict adherence on the smuggling of bottled beverages into the stadium, saying failure to implement such measures risks the country being banned from playing matches at home.
