In their quest, to help the citizenry remain safe as the nation battles with the Covid-19 virus, the Indian Community in Zambia has swang into action to disinfect some parts of Nakonde District.
The community led by board member Ismail Khankara, disinfected public places and sensitized members of the public in the wake of the Covid-19 virus.
Nakonde District is currently on lockdown following a number of positive cases being recorded in the area. Residents have since welcomed the move by the Indian Community and called on others to do the same.
President Edgar Lungu, through health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya, ordered the temporary closure of Nakonde boarder post as Covid-19 cases escalated in a blink of an eye.
