MULAZA Kaira alias Macky 2 has once again shunned the assertion that he made Zambia’s biggest artiste Yo Maps.
Despite being the first artiste to feature in Yo Map’s first hit single which shook the airwaves, Macky 2 humbly stated that the then upcoming artiste had already done the homework and the legend was only a way through greatness.
“I don’t think there’s a single artiste who exists now without the help of anybody. Everybody had some sort of help,” Macky 2 told the Muse with IK.
“There will forever be instrumental people.
I would like to think of myself in the case of Yo Maps as a conduit but there’re a lot of great artistes but I chose Yo maps because he was already prepared, there are people with potential but they are not prepared.”
The retired but active musician stated that at the time, Yo Maps only needed a feature that would shine a bit of light for him as he had already put in the work by himself.
Macky 2 is known to be a catalyst for most upcoming artistes and it’s really amazing how he never wants to get the credit, suffice to say people who genuinely help others without seeking credit do exist and Macky 2 happens to be one of them.
