K20 ROBBERY LEAVES KASEMPA GUARD DEAD

A 45-YEAR-OLD security guard, Dazewel Ntundubwingi, has been fatally stabbed in Kasempa while trying to help a woman who was robbed of K20.

According to North-Western Province police commissioner Brighton Siwale, the suspect, 38-year-old Higiling Mukumwa, allegedly used a knife to stab Ntundubwingi in the neck.

The incident occurred on May 24, 2025 at around 23:55 hours.

Ntundubwingi, who was on duty at Janki Enterprises, chased Mukumwa after hearing the woman’s cries for help.

As he pursued the suspect, he passed by Soko Davison, 36, who later reported hearing Ntundubwingi cry out that he had been stabbed.

Police responded quickly, finding a pool of blood on the side of the road.

Upon inspecting Ntundubwingi’s body, they discovered a deep cut on the left side of his neck. Mukumwa attempted to flee but was apprehended by the community.

He is currently in police custody awaiting charges of murder.

The police are investigating the matter, and further details will be released as the case unfolds.
