Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) is among the sponsors and participating organisations at the 7th Edition of the CSR, ESG, and Sustainability Conference currently taking place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka.

The three-day event has brought together Corporate Social Responsibility leaders, sustainability practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance sustainable development practices across Zambia.

Mr. Henry Ngilazi, Acting Manager – KCM Public Relations and Communications, Ms. Kangwa Nakaonga, KCM Nampundwe Business Unit Procurement Officer, Ms. Taza Lungu, KCM Nampundwe Business Unit Environmental Coordinator and Mr. Brighton Munthali, KCM Nampundwe Business Unit Community Liaison Officer are attending the conferenceon, reinforcing the company’s active participation in sustainability discussions and ESG-focused initiatives.

As one of the event sponsors, KCM joins other organisations in supporting dialogue centred on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities, sustainable resource management, and inclusive economic growth.

The conference provides a platform for professionals to share best practices, explore innovative solutions, and collaborate on approaches that drive measurable social and environmental impact.

KCM’s participation aligns with broader industry efforts to integrate sustainability into core business operations, including environmental stewardship, community development initiatives, and programmes aimed at strengthening local value chains and supporting economic empowerment.

The conference is expected to conclude on Friday with a CSR Day adjudication and awards ceremony recognising organisations and individuals demonstrating excellence in corporate social responsibility and sustainability practices.
