KEEP YOUR VOTE TO SUSTAIN DEVELOPMENT – GODAZA.

The Governance and Development Advocates Zambia (GODAZA) has expressed concern over what it describes as growing political maneuvering among opposition parties, warning that frequent alliance shifts risk confusing the electorate ahead of the upcoming elections.

GODAZA Executive Director Elias Mulenga says the formation of new political alliances, without clear policy direction, appears to be driven more by political desperation than by a genuine commitment to national development.

Mr. Mulenga noted that the constant reconfiguration of opposition alliances sends mixed signals to citizens and undermines the stability of the political landscape at a time when the country requires focus and unity around development priorities.

“The emerging alliances seem to reflect political power desperation rather than a clear, people-centered agenda for national development,” Mr. Mulenga said.

He urged Zambians to remain focused on the broader goal of sustaining development and improving livelihoods, emphasizing that voters should carefully evaluate leaders based on their vision, track record, and commitment to delivering tangible results.

Mr. Mulenga further encouraged citizens not to be swayed by opportunistic political arrangements but instead demand accountability, transparency, and practical development plans from those seeking public office.

With only months remaining before the country heads to the polls, GODAZA has called on voters to make informed decisions that safeguard Zambia’s development trajectory.

“As citizens prepare to exercise their democratic right, it is important to prioritize Zambia’s progress by supporting leadership that demonstrates a genuine commitment to national development,” he added.

GODAZA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good governance, responsible leadership, and citizen participation in democratic processes.
