The government has announced that the late Ronnie Shikapwasha who died after being shot will be put to rest on Saturday 20 January 2024 at Leopards Hill Memorial Park in Lusaka.
A statement issued by Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick K. Kangwa reads that President Hakainde Hichilema has accorded the late Shikapwasha who served as Cabinet Minister in the MMD government an official funeral.
President Hichilema has since declared Saturday as a National day of mourning in honour of the numerous contributions made to the nation.
Members of the public and all those gathered at the funeral house in the Ibex Hill area are advised to observe the Ministry of Health guidelines on preventing the further spread of Cholera.
