AN unidentified Lusaka male only known as a law student from a named University has been found dead in unexplained circumstances in a one room apartment he was renting in Kaligaliga compound.
The deceased’s neighbor Peter Mbewe narrates that he noticed strong stench with flies on the window of the deceased in the morning on his way to the bathroom.
“I was on my way to take a bath when I perceived a strange smell and noticed flies on my neighbor’s window and air vent, “says Mbewe.
He said he had to alert his other neighbors who together began searching for the source of the strong stench which they believed could be a decomposed rat not until more flies were seen coming out of the under space of the door.
With fear, and not knowing what could be inside, they tried to reach the deceased on his mobile phone which was also discovered off.
This prompted the three men to break down the door and to their horror they discovered it was the deceased’s body in a decomposed state on the bed.
Times Media visited the scene and discovered blood on the floor and the bed of the deceased.
Police has since instituted investigations into the matter and the body has been deposited in the UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem.
