A SEXUALLY starved man of Lundazi District in Eastern Province has shocked residents of Mphamba Compound after he was caught butt naked and snoring beside a 16-year-old girl he had allegedly raped.
Details of the matter as narrated to TV Yatu by Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba show that, the suspect only identified as Zyambo, took brother to the victim, Dyson Mtemba out to drink beer.
He shares that, noticing how the brother seemed to be enjoying gulping his beer, Zyambo sneaked away, leaving the imbibing victim’s brother enjoying his sponsored beverages, in the dark.
While her brother enjoyed alcohol, Zyambo, who Police say is the victim’s neighbour, barged into the room she had gone to rest after feeling unwell.
Mweemba shared that, on entering the room, Zyambo tore the victim’s underwear and covered her mouth before aiming his manhood for her essential lady part.
The East Police Chief says the suspect covered the victim’s mouth the whole time he had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
“He tore her pant and put a cloth on the mouth to stop her from crying and shouting.
“He then raped her and after the act, he slept beside her until the victim’s brother Dyson Mtemba came back and he was taken outside and managed to run away,” Mweemba shares.
He says while this happened, the victim’s mother had been admitted in hospital.
After being discharged, she heard about the incident and decided to report the matter to the Police, yesterday at around 15:00 hours, with the incident being said to have occurred on May 24, around 23:00 hours.
Mweemba shares that the suspect is currently on the run but that, Police is on high alert to ensure the culprit is brought to book.
