Some business operators in Lusaka have commended the government for increasing the hours of electricity supply in various communities.
A check by ZNBC News found that selected areas are now receiving power for more than ten hours per day, an improvement that has begun to positively impact small businesses.
A barber, Steven Sakala of the John Howard area, says business has improved in recent days following the extended power supply.
Mr. Sakala says the more stable electricity supply has enabled him to operate his business normally.
A welder from Kalingalinga Compound, Longa Siwingwa, says the increased power supply has boosted production levels.
Meanwhile, a salon owner from Mtendere East, Sarah Mwiya, has also praised the government for the move.
Ms. Mwiya says the improved power supply will allow salon operators to conduct business more consistently and attract more clients.
