Lusaka City Council seeks K30 million for burial land in Mikango!

The Lusaka City Council has announced that it requires approximately K30 million to purchase 60 hectares of land in the Mikango Barracks area for burial purposes.

Council Public Health Director Victor Kagoli revealed that while the land has already been surveyed and secured, it remains under private ownership, and the local authority currently lacks the funds to acquire it.

Mr. Kagoli emphasized that the Council is deeply concerned about the diminishing availability of burial space in Lusaka and is actively working to ensure the purchase of the new land to meet growing public needs.
