Zambian music icon and Nchanga Constituency aspiring Member of Parliament, Mulaza Kaira popularly known as Macky 2, has shown appreciation to bus drivers in Chingola by donating fuel coupons in support of their daily work.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Macky 2 praised bus drivers, locally known as “AmaShofele,” describing them as a vital part of society whose efforts keep communities functioning through transport and mobility.
“As you work tirelessly every day to sustain your homes and provide for your families, you also power one of the most important aspects of our daily lives – mobility. Imagine a community without transport. Imagine Nchanga without you,” Macky 2 wrote.
The “Legendary” hit maker revealed that earlier in the day, he stood with bus drivers in Nchanga and made what he called a modest but meaningful contribution to honour their sacrifice and dedication.
He said the team shared 70 fuel coupons worth K500 each with the drivers as a gesture of appreciation.
“We shared 70 fuel coupons worth K500 each… a ka modest gesture to support the incredible work they already do,” he stated.
Macky 2 emphasised the importance of unity and sharing, adding that even small gestures can contribute to strengthening homes and building a sustainable community.
“We may not have much, but we believe in sharing the little we are blessed with to strengthen our homes and build a more sustainable community together,” he said.
The aspiring MP further assured the drivers that their hard work does not go unnoticed and that the community values their contribution.
“To my friends ama bus drivers… your hard work does not go unnoticed. Your sacrifice does not go unappreciated. WE SEE YOU AND WE APPRECIATE YOU,” he added.
Macky 2 ended his message by reaffirming his political ambition for Nchanga Constituency, encouraging residents to remain united as he wished them a happy Easter.
“Ninebo Hon Mulaza Kaira, Aspiring MP for Nchanga Constituency… Tiyeni tubombele CAPAMO! Happy Easter,” he wrote.
The post has since drawn praise online, with many supporters commending the artist for recognising the role of transport operators and supporting them directly.
