A 43-year-old village headman of Mafinga, Muchinga Province, who is suspected to have contracted a sexually transmitted disease (STD) has committed suicide.
Mansi Muwowo, a polygamist of Ndulutile village, allegedly committed suicide between Wednesday and Friday.
It is alleged that Muwowo was home with his two wives, Maureen Munthali, 37, and Beatrice Mulambia, 43, when he excused himself to use the toilet.
Muwowo allegedly locked his wives inside the house as he left and never returned, a situation which worried them.
The wives then decided to go and look for their husband but noticed that the house was locked from outside but they later managed to open Zambia Daily Mail
