Patriotic Front and Pamodzi Alliance President Makebi Zulu has strongly condemned the government’s failure to guarantee a reliable and adequate supply of fuel for the Zambian people.
He described the current shortages, which have left citizens queuing for hours at the few functioning filling stations, as a clear sign of incompetence, poor planning, and a lack of seriousness in addressing the needs of the nation.
Mr Zulu stressed that hardworking citizens should not be forced to waste productive hours in traffic and uncertainty simply to access a basic commodity.
He warned that the situation is not only disruptive but also economically damaging, undermining productivity and livelihoods.
Mr Zulu called on the government to stop offering excuses and instead take immediate, decisive action to restore a stable and uninterrupted fuel supply.
He emphasised that Zambians will not continue to tolerate this level of failure and neglect.
Mr Zulu declared that the status quo must change ahead to the 13 August 2026 elections.
He urged the people to elect leadership that is more responsible, accountable, and competent.
