MALAWIANS PRAISE LUANGENI’S NSANJIKA CLINIC PROJECT IN CHIPATA

Malawians accessing medical facilities at Nsanjika Clinic in Nsingo Ward, Luangeni Constituency, in Chipata have paid tribute to the Government of Zambia for establishing a nearby clinic under CDF.

Innocent Mwale of Kasiya in Malawi expressed that the clinic has been helpful to both Zambians and Malawians.

He explained that both the school and the clinic at Nsanjika are serving communities from both countries thanks to CDF.

Nsanjika community member Edward Zulu observed that the clinic, built under CDF, has reduced the distance people used to cover to access healthcare.

Zulu pointed out that the nearest facilities were Katandala and Mwami, but now residents travel less than two kilometres, even on weekends.

He thanked Luangeni MP Moses Moyo for lobbying for development.

Zulu highlighted that the clinic has a water system, clean toilets, and housing for the in-charge with water and power.

Nsanjika Health Centre in-charge, Clinical Officer Joseph Ngambela, explained that the facility has brought many benefits.

He noted that before, residents relied on unsafe water sources, leading to diseases such as diarrhoea and dysentery.

Ngambela emphasised that the new water system provides treated water, reducing such illnesses.

He stressed that the CDF project has positively impacted their lives, bringing healthcare and safe water closer to families.
