A man of Matero’s Paradise Compound in Lusaka, Gibson Zulu, has died after sustaining severe burn injuries in a violent incident involving his cousin.
Zulu had been receiving treatment at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital after he was initially rushed to Matero Level One Hospital following the incident that occurred in the early hours of yesterday.
Zulu’s sister, Fatness Grey, has confirmed to Diamond News that he died around 21:00 hours last night.
Residents who rushed to the scene managed to put out the flames and found Zulu tied on both hands and legs before he was taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, the funeral is being held at the family house in Bauleni Compound in Lusaka as police continue a manhunt for Allan, who is believed to have fled the area.
