Media Ladies FC came from behind to beat female chalk breakers from Overhill School by 3 goals to 1 in a social game played at Lusaka Show grounds.
Thanks to freelancer, Cynthia Nkhata, who scored an equalizer reviving hopes for the scribes, after Florence Kabambanya scored first to give the teachers a lead.
This is the second game to be played since the team was assembled.
The scribes suffered a huge loss at the hands of female police officers a few weeks ago in their first encounter.
A well converted penalty by Crown TV’s Victoria Linosi, doubled the scores for the scribes pushing them in the lead.
Daily Nation scribe, Grace Chaile doubled the lead a few minutes later, sending the technical bench and supporters into jubilation, ending the game 3-1 in favour of the female news reporters and presenters.
Media Ladies FC Coach Francis Chipalo said the game was meant to enhance social relations with the teachers.
Technical Manager, Banji Kobe, says the scribes are looking forward to playing more of such social football.
And Overhill School Manager, says such games are a good exercise, which helps in preventing non-communicable diseases.
Meanwhile, Munali Community leader, Chrispin Chiinda, who also watched the game, says he will support the Media Ladies FC in any way possible.
He commended the ladies in media for coming up with the initiative to promote social football.
