Byta FM reports that Bweengwa Constituency Member of Parliament, Kasauta Michelo, has launched scathing criticism against former President Edgar Lungu.
In a fiery speech during a rally in the Choma district, Michelo asserted that Lungu lacks the moral authority to discuss good governance and the current economic challenges.
Michelo said Lungu’s administration accumulated significant debts, leaving the country in financial distress.
He said the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) is now diligently working to rectify the damage caused by the previous regime.
As the Mubula Ward by-elections approach this Friday in Choma Central Constituency, Michelo urged voters to support the party’s candidate, Maybin Mudenda.
Meanwhile, UPND Southern Province Chairperson Billard Makwembo echoed Michelo’s sentiments, cautioning citizens not to be swayed by naysayers who criticize the government.
Makwembo emphasized that residents of Choma Central should refrain from experimenting with opposition candidates during the upcoming elections.
