Muchindu celebrates Choma South workers, backs Government efforts on Jobs and CDF

UPND Choma South parliamentary hopeful Joe Muchindu has commended workers across the constituency for their dedication and pledged to support ongoing government efforts to improve livelihoods through timely pay and Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects.

In his Labour Day message released today, Muchindu paid tribute to nurses, teachers, farmers, marketeers, and artisans in Batoka, Sikalongo, Siaskabole and all the wards in Choma.

“Our workers are the strength of Choma South. We see the nurses on night duty, the teachers in our schools, and the farmers who feed our families. Today we celebrate you,” Muchindu said.

Muchindu welcomed government’s decision to increase CDF to above K40 million per constituency, noting that the funds are creating opportunities for local employment and skills development.

“We can do a lot using CDF. We can build classrooms, clinics, and boreholes while employing our youth. This is how we can grow Choma South together,” he said.

And Muchindu expressed confidence that continued partnership between government, traditional leaders, and communities would deliver more decent jobs and improved services.

“If elected on 13 August 2026, I will work hand-in-hand with government to ensure every worker in Choma South benefits from national development,” he added.
