Muchindu Hails Mudenda’s Election as UPND Choma Vice Chairlady

Choma parliamentary hopeful Joe Muchindu has congratulated Cynthia Mudenda on her election as the UPND Vice Chairlady for Political Affairs in Choma Constituency, describing her victory as a major boost to the ruling party’s mobilisation efforts.

Mudenda, who has been praised for her energy, charm and strong grassroots presence, previously served as vice chairlady in Muchindu’s political team before being elected into the constituency party leadership during the recently held UPND intra-party elections.

Muchindu said Mudenda has consistently demonstrated dedication and commitment to party work, adding that her leadership qualities will now benefit the wider UPND structure in Choma.

“She is one of the best chairladies I have worked with. I know she will add value to our party here in Choma. We will miss her as a team because she was indeed an asset who has now become an asset of the entire party,” Muchindu said.

He further stated that Mudenda’s election reflects the growing confidence party members have in leaders with strong organisational skills and a clear understanding of community engagement.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Mudenda thanked party officials and members for trusting her with the responsibility, pledging to work hard to strengthen the UPND’s political presence in Choma.

She also expressed gratitude to Muchindu for giving her the opportunity to serve in his team, describing the experience as instrumental in shaping her political growth.

Mudenda said her focus will be on unity, mobilisation and ensuring the party remains strong and prepared ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Muchindu, who continues to enjoy growing support in Choma, has maintained that he is ready to serve the people as Member of Parliament. He has also expressed interest in contesting the proposed Choma South Constituency, pending approval of the delimitation process.

With the constituency’s political landscape taking shape, observers say Mudenda’s rise within the UPND structures signals increased momentum for party organisation and grassroots mobilisation in the district.
