Muchindu vows to prioritize ward officials’ needs
Choma parliamentary hopeful Joe Muchindu has promised to prioritize the needs of ward officials in the constituency if elected.
The UPND ward officials in Siaskobole ward expressed feelings of neglect by the party leadership, saying they have been overlooked despite their crucial role in the party’s success .
During a mobilization meeting, officials commended Muchindu for engaging with grassroots party leaders, describing his approach as rare and refreshing.
Muchindu vowed to change the narrative, emphasizing that ward officials should be the first to benefit from empowerment incentives and Constituency Development Fund (CDF) generated projects.
“Ward officials are the backbone of our party, and it’s time they are recognized and rewarded,” Muchindu said.
He promised to ensure deserving officials get contracts and priority in empowerment schemes.
The officials, including traditional leaders, welcomed Muchindu’s commitment, hoping for a more inclusive and supportive leadership.
Similar sentiments were shared in Singani ward during another meeting addressed by Muchindu.
