Indian based Lala Kalindula Musician Bangwe Naviley Chisenga who authored Umutekatima, a book profiling President Edgar Lungu, has donated 40 pockets of cement towards the construction of a wall fence at Serenje Radio.
In a message to Serenje Radio Station Manager Manley Kapema, Mr. Bangwe says he has highlighted in Umutekatima Book that the President loves ethical media houses.
Mr. Bangwe, a former Muvi TV and ZNBC Reporter, has urged the community radio station to find time in highlighting developmental projects in Serenje such as houses for security staff, resumption of works at Mailo Secondary school and expansion of Lusiwasi Hydropower Station among others.
He says the President is ensuring the construction of provincial studios to promote information for an informed decision while allowing more private sector investment to grow the media landscape.
And Serenje Radio Station Manager Manley Kapema says the gesture by Mr. Bangwe is relief to the wall fence project urging others to come on board in assisting the media house.
