Zambian sprinter Muzala Samukonga is the latest athlete to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after putting up a good performance at the Diamond League in Morocco.
The event dubbed the Rabat/Marrakech Diamond League saw Samukonga clock 44.54s to emerge second in the 400m race.
Zambia so far has three sports disciplines that have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Boxer Patrick Chinyemba was the first athlete to qualify followed by the football team Copper Queens.
The Paris 2024, is an upcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 in France, with Paris as the main host city and 16 other cities spread across Metropolitan France, plus one subsite in Tahiti — an island within the French overseas country and overseas collectivity of French Polynesia.
