A 25-year-old woman from Ntindi, is in distress after a motorbike rider she hired to transport her belongings allegedly vanished without a trace.
The incident occurred two days ago amid a marital dispute with her husband.
Elizabeth Kapembwa had parked her possessions, including a matrimonial bed, mattress, grade 12 certificate and college certificate, by the roadside along Stevenson Road, she flagged down a passing motorbike rider to transport her belongings to another house.
However, before they could depart, her husband unexpectedly arrived, leading to a heated altercation. In the chaos, the rider fled the scene with her belongings belongings.
She claims not to know the rider personally, but insists would recognize him if seen.
Her husband has already reported the incident to the police, authorities have advised her to either repurchase the stolen items for her husband or face potential theft charges.
She is calling on assistance from the public to help on any information that would lead to the recovery of the items.
