NGOMA AWARDS BACK WITH A BANGER!

Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Hon. Elvis Nkandu, MP has announced that his ministry will on the 4th October 2022 officially announce the return of the Ngoma Awards which have not been hosted for a number of years.
The minister says the new dawn government under the able leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema values arts in the country stating that if well utilised it has the potential to create employment among the youths.
The minister who further received the ‘special recognition award’ on behalf of the head of state President Hakainde Hichilema for his wonderful good governance said there is need to support arts in the country not only by government but also the corporate world.
He added that the ministry stands firm to support ideas such as the Kwacha Music Awards which have shown interest to reward local artists.
Hon. Nkandu appealed to all citizens to support local music if it is to compete favourably on the international market.
The minister spoke when he officially graced the Kwacha Music Awards hosted in Lusaka Zambia.
Several local talented artists bagged awards.
