ZESCO United legend Jacob Banda has urged Chipolopolo goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata to regain his first-choice position at South African top side Sekhukhune United ahead of the 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations back-to-back fixtures against Lesotho next month.
On March 20, Zambia will host Lesotho at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola in a Group H encounter as Avram Grant takes charge of his first competitive match.
Lesotho will tackle the Chipolopolo in a return fixture in Johannesburg on March 28.
Ivory Coast lead the group with four points, one better than Zambia and Comoros Islands while tail-enders Lesotho have a point. Something of concern for Grant will be the goalkeeping department, with Nsabata, who has been the first choice in the first two qualifiers, warming the bench at his club.
