Eugene Numwa, the aspiring councillor for Justin Kabwe ward 24 in Mandevu constituency is confident that he’ll deliver the ward to the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) in the 2026 general elections.

Numwa believes it’s time for UPND to take over Mandevu constituency, currently dominated by the Patriotic Front (PF), citing the party’s development achievements in areas they govern.

He claims some opposition-held areas, including Mandevu, have lagged behind in development.

Numwa promises a transformative ward if elected councillor in 2026 under the ruling.

He was speaking during a Bill 7 celebratory function of Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, Cindy Kauka the trade tourism and economic attache in Lubumbashi DRC who officiated as guest of honour called on the people in the ward to rally behind Numwa, adding that the candidate has what it takes to drive developmental activities.

She also expressed confidence that the UPND would grab the ward in next year’s elections having been gaining momentum by winning by-elections in former PF strongholds.
