An unregistered Mercedes-Benz has reportedly caused a road traffic accident involving three vehicles along Great East Road near the University of Zambia (UNZA) Flyover Bridge, leaving one person injured.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the Mercedes-Benz, which was allegedly overspeeding, lost control near the UNZA Bus Stop while traveling from east to west. The vehicle is said to have veered into oncoming traffic, leading to a collision with other vehicles.
The accident involved a Honda Fit, which was extensively damaged, a Toyota Hilux belonging to SeedCo with a damaged bumper, and a Jeep that reportedly suffered two burst tyres. The Mercedes-Benz involved in the crash was also badly damaged.
A news crew from Sun FM TV, who arrived at the scene, confirmed that no fatalities were recorded. However, the driver of the Honda Fit sustained internal injuries and required medical attention.
