Zambians have taken to social media to Express their happiness at the declaration of Friday , a day after independence as a holiday by president Edgar Lungu.

Social media blogs, WhatsApp groups, internet websites are all awash with memes, GIFs and videos depicting the parte after parte song in celebration of the “unexpected” holiday.

The president has not been spared as his dancing videos have been synchronized with the parte after parte song with other social media users calling on the president to further direct his minister of finance to pay salaries to make the party more interesting.

Others however feel the president is misplaced to declare a holiday after another holiday in the midst of economic underperformance.
