“PF defectors just surviving politically – Njobvu Warns UPND”

By Francis Chipalo

Democratic Union (DU) President Ackim Antony Njobvu has urged UPND to be cautious with PF members joining the ruling party, citing political survival as their motive.

He was commenting on recent defections of PF members of parliament from the former ruling party to the UPND.

NJobvu has warned the UPND to be careful with some individuals joining the UPND. He said most of those PF MPs lost favor from their constituencies after voting for Bill 7.

“Both UPND and PF defectors are finished. Zambians need a breath fresh air and the Democratic Union presents them that opportunity.

And Njobvu has charged that the UPND is scared of the opposition, hence, allegedly denying the opposition leaders to hold rallies.

He said despite this, Zambians will still kick out the new dawn in the August 13th, 2026 general elections.

Meanwhile, NJobvu has observed that Patriotic Front members of parliament joining the UPND have lost support and popularity in their constituency, hence running to the ruling party which, he says, was losing popularity among Zambians.

Njobvu claimed majority Zambians were dissatisfied with President Hakainde Hichilema’s adminstration despite promising to “fix” things.

“Things are bad on the ground, and this is why even President Hichilema once said he might win, but his MPs and councillors might not,” Njobvu added, during Sunday Chat on Christian Nation radio.
