He states that Sunday’s happenings at the PF Secretariat is proof that Hichilema’s talk of Human Rights, good governance and respect for the rule of law, like many of his other promises, is a false display.
M’membe says going by the impunity and senseless brutality the Country is currently witnessing, Hichilema has shown that he is not going to de-escalate any tensions and abuses of State systems and processes involving the Police, Courts and other institutions.
He questions why the current Administration is seemingly operating under desperate paranoia with an elevated appetite for chaos and violence in a bid to hold on to power given that the 2021 victory might have been a fluke.
M’membe has cautioned that the path the current administration has taken is too risky and dangerous, remarking that time for tin-pot dictators is long gone.
He has since called out Western Institutions and Governments for not condemning the Human Rights violations in Zambia just as they do elsewhere and previously.
