Patriotic Front (PF) and Pamodzi Alliance president Makebi Zulu has held a high-level meeting with former PF acting president Given Lubinda, in a move that has sparked interest within Zambia’s political circles.
According to details shared, the meeting focused on the future of the Patriotic Front (PF), with both leaders engaging in what has been described as a cordial and productive discussion.
The talks come at a time when the former ruling party continues efforts to rebuild following the 2021 general election.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Makebi Zulu expressed appreciation for Lubinda’s leadership during the party’s transition from government.
He highlighted the role Lubinda played in stabilising the party during a challenging period, noting his resilience and dedication.
Zulu further praised Lubinda’s continued commitment to unity within the PF, stating that his experience remains critical as the party works towards repositioning itself.
He emphasised the importance of strong leadership as the party aims to present itself as a credible alternative aligned with the aspirations of the Zambian people.
The meeting was also attended by senior party officials, signalling what many observers see as ongoing efforts to consolidate support and strengthen internal structures within the Patriotic Front.
