Prophet Seer1 has openly thrown his support behind Zambian music star Macky 2, calling for leaders to embrace the artiste instead of arresting him as he pushes for political office.

Seer1 made the remarks in a Facebook post, where he praised Macky 2’s growing influence on the Copperbelt and insisted that the musician should be supported rather than frustrated. According to Seer1, the Copperbelt needs Macky 2, and authorities should find a way to harness his leadership potential.

“Instead of arresting this guy, let’s find a way to harness him, we need this guy in the Copperbelt,” Seer1 wrote.

The outspoken prophet went further to suggest that it would be better for the ruling party to allow Macky 2 to win the constituency he is contesting than risk losing more seats due to public dissatisfaction.

“We rather lose the Constituency where he’s standing to him and win the rest of the constituencies than to lose them all. We need him in the Copperbelt. I know what I am talking about,” Seer1 added.

The post quickly attracted attention online and was later shared by Macky 2 himself. In response, the artiste, who is aspiring to contest as Member of Parliament for Nchanga Constituency, reaffirmed his stance that he cannot be compromised.

“Umfwa Seer1. Ine I can’t be bought.. My loyalty lies solely with the people of Nchanga,” Macky 2 wrote.

He further stated that his main goal is to serve the people of his constituency, stressing that he is willing to work with anyone who shares the same vision for development in Nchanga.

“My focus is simple: What is best for the people in my constituency. If that is your focus too, we are on the same team,” he said.
Macky 2 concluded by emphasising that he will cooperate with anyone committed to the progress of Nchanga, saying: “Ine I will work with anyone who cares about Nchanga as much as I do.. Salt olo Sugar.”

The exchange has sparked debate on social media, with many Zambians discussing the increasing intersection of music, politics and public influence ahead of the 2026 elections.
