Th Zambia Red Cross Society has donated 159 sanitary kits to girls at Chikankata Secondary School.
The society has also handed over 81 sanitary kits to girls at Namembo Day Secondary School, reaching a total of 240 girls.
Red cross society says the donation is part of broader effort to support 1,006 girls in 14 schools across the district with menstrual hygiene kits.
The initiative helps keep girls in school and upholds their dignity.
The intervention is supported through the drought response project in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and other partners, reaffirming Zambia Red Cross Society’s commitment to empowering vulnerable communities across the country.
Meanwhile, the beneceries expressed happiness with the gesture.
