A 55-year-old Rwandan of Meheba Refugee Settlement in Kalumbila district has died after he was allegedly hit on the head with a hoe by his friend.
The duo picked a quarrel after a drinking spree on Sunday around 22:00 hours at Mana Farm in Matebo chiefdom.
North-Western Province police commanding officer Dennis Moola said in a statement yesterday that Patrick Akizimana was murdered by John Bosco Mujenzi, 47, also of Meheba Road 105.
Mr Moola said the matter was reported to police on Monday around 11:30 hours by chairperson for the Rwandans, Rashid Gakunde.

He said police rushed to the scene and found the body lying facing upwards in a pool of blood.
Mr Moola said upon physical inspection of the body, the victim was found with a deep cut on the right side of the head, swollen back of the head and a cut on the right side of the jaw.
He said the body was picked and taken to Lumwana First Level Hospital pending post-mortem while the suspect has been arrested.
