All is set for the hockey national teams as they kick off their Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers games at Tuks Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa on 29 October 2023.
The Zambia women’s team will take to the fields first at 10:00hrs CAT against Kenya while the men’s team will take on Ghana at 14:00hrs CAT.
Women’s hockey national team coach Floyd Chomba has stated that the girls will deliver based on Saturday’s training session.
Chomba says the majority of the girls in the national team are those who represented Zambia at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic games in China adding that they have experience and will be looking forward to qualify for the Paris 2024.

And Elvis Bwalya the national team coach for the men has expressed confidence that the boys are physically, mentally and emotionally ready to face Kenya in the afternoon.
He says they will aim to win and subsequently ensure that qualification to Paris 2024 is secured.
Bwalya has since appealed to everyone to rally behind the team and show massive support so that the team continue getting motivated as the games progress.
Zambia is expected to take on Egypt, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, and the hosts South Africa.
During Saturday’s training session several spectators found at the Tuks Stadium showed love and support for team Zambia.
