ROBBERS SHOOT AT NAKONDE MOBILE MONEY AGENT IN AN ATTEMP TO STEAL K100,000
A Nakonde based mobile money agent was shot twice by thieves who attempted to rob him of K100,000 yesterday.
23-year-old Simon Halaba knocked off from work as he approached his house, heard gun shots which he did not pay attention to but, later observed that his windscreen was shattered by a purported bullet.
Muchinga province Police deputy commanding officer, Lucky Munkondya tells Sun TV news that from nowhere four unidentified men appeared and grabbed the victim’s phone including the bag which contained the said money.
Muchinga province Deputy Police Commanding officer Lucky Munkondya says despite the victim getting shot twice in the left leg and losing his phone still managed to retrieve the duffle bag.
She says Halaba is currently in the hospital receiving treatment as the said criminals are suspected to have bolted into neighboring Tanzania.
Mrs. Buumba adds that Police have since instituted investigations
