President Hakainde Hichilema has directed Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa to ensure that VX vehicles bought after the new dawn took office are sold because their purchase is against the administration’s policy.
The President wants Mr Kangwa to issue an instruction for the luxury cars bought for some senior government officials to be sold.
President Hichilema, who made the directive when he addressed a Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) leadership workshop yesterday, said he will make a follow-up to ensure that the instruction is adhered to.
The President is concerned that despite knowing Government’s policy of cutting down on unnecessary expenditure by avoiding extravagance.
