The Socialist Party has willingly withdrawn their rally which was scheduled for June 29, 2024 at Chawama – Misisi ground in Lusaka.

Police deputy public relations officer Danny Mwale says in a statement that the withdraw notification was received before Police in the area could conclude with the security assessment.

He says the notification is contained in a letter dated June 24, 2024 signed by the Party National Youth Spokesperson, Stanley Mubasa.

He further adds that the Zambia Police Service is ready to regulate and monitor any public gathering or procession and will look forward to maximize collaboration from all citizens.
