Joe Tapelo Simataa, a journalist with CAMNET TV, has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Lusaka Press Club (LPC).
Simataa expressed his gratitude and commitment to the role, saying, “I have accepted the position of Chairperson of the Lusaka Press Club, effective immediately”.
The broadcaster says he looks forward to working with the executive members and the general membership to promote journalists’ interests and the media fraternity in Lusaka ¹.
The Lusaka Press Club recently launched its roadmap for 2026, highlighting challenges facing journalists, casualisation, and internal divisions within the media fraternity.
The event called for unity among journalists to advance press freedom and professionalism.
