Zambia has recorded a third case of Mpox.
Acting Health Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA says the disease has been diagnosed in the husband of a 34-year-old woman of Kitwe who tested positive last week.
The Minister however says the man remains stable and is under home isolation.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. SYAKALIMA said the confirmation of Mpox underscores the importance of robust contact tracing and heightened surveillance.
Meanwhile, Mr. SYAKALIMA has disclosed that out of the 13 recorded cholera cases in Nakonde, two have been discharged while the remaining 11 individuals are in a stable condition.
